A huge thanks to the 14 volunteers who turned up for our work party today. We soon had the foundations for our new hide finished, thanks to the skills of David Benton.

Also, thanks once again to award winning local firm PC Landscapes - without the help of Anthony George and the support his company have provided, we would never have been able to do the job so quickly and safely. Now we wait delivery of the hide.

We were fortunate to be given a guided tour of Space2Grow in Farnham today - between Bishop's Meadow and St Andrew's Church. This wonderful group of volunteers have created an acre of walled garden that is a haven for wildlife, and a productive vegetable garden. The garden is tended to by people with mental health problems, eating disorders and addiction problems, as well as many local schools and youth groups.

We were taken aback by the amazing work that has been done there in just two years. As part of our commitment to work outside the boundaries of Tice's Meadow in the local community, we will be building and donating a number of nest boxes for their volunteers to put up. We've also promised to liaise with their volunteers and share resources and contacts, so that both our groups can continue to flourish.
