Bird Flu

Unfortunately, we are seeing a sharp increase in the number of dead birds on site - almost certainly due to Bird Flu.

Please heed the warnings on this poster, and do report any dead birds you see to DEFRA via their website.

If you walk your dog at Tice's:

PLEASE keep it on a short lead and do not let it go in the river or ponds. Dogs can catch bird flu - they could then pass it on to your family. They can also disturb and stress sick birds, causing them more suffering.

If you live locally and own a cat:

PLEASE consider keeping it indoors for the next few months - for the safety of your cat, your family, and the local wildlife.

If you'd like to help, please write to your MP demanding that the government takes the issue more seriously than they are - including temporary bans on wildfowling and the release of game birds.
